In 2023, Matt and Vickie opened their home for a small Bible study with two families. By God’s grace, that simple beginning has grown into a fellowship of believers committed to following Jesus and sharing the gospel in the community. In 2025, the church moved into its storefront location in Sylvania. Pastor Matt Bernsdorff has been in full-time ministry for 25 years with a heart for faithfully teaching God’s Word verse by verse and caring for people through biblical counseling. Together, Matt and Vickie have had the privilege of serving in a variety of ministry roles, including youth ministry, missions, and church planting. Matt holds advanced degrees in theology and Christian counseling and serves as a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor and Board Certified Mental Health Coach. These tools support his desire to care for people with wisdom, compassion, and biblical truth. Vickie is a registered nurse who has over twenty years of pediatric experience. Matt and Vickie are blessed with four married adult children and seven grandchildren. They enjoy time with family and creating new adventurous memories every year. Above all, Matt and Vickie share a deep love for people and a longing to see lives transformed by the gospel. Having come to know the Lord in 1997, they continue to walk in—and point others to—the life-changing grace of Jesus Christ.
